Master Classes with Ruth Barnes

We all move. How do you move? What moves you today? How do you respond when others move? Passing energy, seeing nuances, hearing the breath, sensing vibrations, reacting or not reacting – we make choices and commit to them, expanding on the physicality we discover or create.

Three 2-hour Workshops:

October  18th 6:30-8:30 pm
October 19th 5-8:30 pm

All levels in dance invited. Students must be available for all intensive times and dates.

Ruth Barnes is Professor and Coordinator of the Missouri State University Dance Program. Early in her career, Ruth established a reputation as a performer, choreographer and master teacher of contemporary dance in New York City, where she taught at the Merce Cunningham Studio and worked as a freelance dancer. She went on to choreograph, teach and perform internationally, most significantly in the United Kingdom, France and Switzerland.
